To many wine lovers, the names Littorai and Pinot Noir are synonymous. And, if there could be any truth to California Pinot Noir having a French Connection, Littorai would likely have first claim to the title.
It was an auspicious start for a young Ted Lemon – while studying French Literature at the University of Dijon, he also happened to take a wine appreciation course from the director of Burgundy’s tourism office. The result was a natural affinity to Burgundy and to Pinot Noir – so much so, that he was offered a job in France if he ever decided to take up winemaking.
After graduating from Brown University, Ted returned to France to study enology and viticulture at the University of Dijon, and went on to work at many prestigious estates in Burgundy, including Chateau Dujac.
Then, after returning to the U.S. and working with Josh Jensen at Calera, a surprising thing happened. In 1982, at 25 years of age he was offered the reins of Domaine Guy Roulot in Meursault, and became the first American winemaker and vineyard manager in Burgundy.
Join us as we hear from Ted Lemon about his wine making, and his philosophy for making classic Pinot Noir.

Steak and Onions is one of the simplest low fat meat recipes to prepare, yet there is so much room for error when preparing it. It's all in the timing and temperature of your pan. This is only 3 pts.

Forever Cool: How To Achieve Ageless, Youthful, and Modern Personal Style Author: Sherrie MathiesonThe first few pages were cute but...Save your money. I thought this was going to be a serious book about the subject but turned out to be a bit weird, redundant, and after a while just silly. The author talks about her aunt who dressed with pizzaz but all her models and suggestions are right out of suburban America. What about something daring and unusual? Most of the book is photos and the suggestions are fairly common sense and repetitive. I'm more interested in what makes Diane Keaton look good (daring styles) and why Katherine Hepburn always caused a stir (definately did not follow the rules). There are many older women with style who dress for themselves - not to be seen in this book. Oh well, sorry I bought it.Pictures are worth a thousand wordsGreat little book on fashion for us "old" folks. It illustrates many of the mistakes that over 50 year old women make (too doudy or too teenybopper) in the way we dress. It has great ideas for looking well dressed and fashionable although some are a little offbeat such as wearing men's watches (???) as an accessory.Great advice for women AND men...This is a picture book of 'before' and 'after' pictures of slightly better-than average looking, over-weight middle aged persons. Very useful in helping the man in your life see what could look great for him. Will motivate you to clean out those closets of all the old stuff and whip out the charge cards. Can't say that I agree with all the advice though. Do we really want to look at bunioned boomer feet wearing thongs? Mathieson seems to just hate pinks, yellows, etc, without giving a list of "right" colors. Overall, though, will make you believe that you can still look good even with a few wrinkles and those extra pounds!

What You Wear Can Change Your Life Author: Trinny WoodallThis book will change you, and the way you shop! (FOUR STARS!)What You Wear Can Change Your Life did not exactly change MY life, but certainly changed the way I shop. I already felt that I had a certain "style" about me, but felt that it took way too long to find the "right" sort of things in the store, and I hated taking so long to find "IT".
The Authors, Trinny and Suzanne, know what they are talking about. I've seen them on their show on BBCAmerica, and their results are simply astounding. Everyday women, of All sizes and shapes and colors, are simply transformed from the dowdy, to the stylish. I was looking forward to this book as a way to help me do the same.
It's certainly a fun read, or coffee table book, but there does seem to be some conflicting advice, particularly in the color section, which I found a little disappointing and hard to follow. I DID like the part of the book with travel photo suggestions and used them to much benefit in regular shots of my family. Jewelry and accessory tips were also quite useful, as well, especially for rings and shoes, which I had sort of a "feeling" for, but never really understood quite well. This book certainly has changed the way I shop for the better and has become a real time saver in that department.
One problem I had with the book is I didn't realize that the authors have several other books published. I thought this volume covered subjects such as body type, silhouette, etc. It does not. For that, you will have to look in their other books. This book DOES cover underwear, a subject I did not find quite useful, as I already figured out what I will wear, and am not really all that interested in changing that sort of thing. I mean, it could very well be that VPL (visible panty lines) are a Big Thing to the authors, but I couldn't care less, and will NOT be wearing a thong no matter what!
Overall, I find that this book is quite handy. Check out the index and chapters to see if it covers the subjects you're interested in. I think if, like me, you like a reference, and have a bad memory, you'll want to buy it. If you have a great memory, you may just want to check it out of the library, tho'.
great advicea great guide to colors and figure flaws...gives lots of suggestions for those lost in their current wardrobe selections...alot of common sense that most women just don't think aboutRead it in the bookstoreAn overall okay book, but not a keeper. Read at your local bookstore and save the money.

We are back with Part-2 of the Auction Napa Valley video coverage. Dana Carvey is still up to his old tricks on stage, and we hear from actress Stacy Keibler (helping the bidding on the Frank Family lot), as well as more from Joy Craft (before and after winning the Screaming Eagle lot). Then we talk with Charles Banks (co-owner Screaming Eagle), as well as a few of the Meadowood staff, and continuing to find politicians in our midst, we speak with Congressman Mike Thompson (yes, at GrapeRadio we speak politics).
We were also very fortunate to spend some quality time getting to know one of the primary beneficiaries of the Auction Napa Valley. Join us as we pay a visit to Clinic Ole in downtown Napa to talk with clinic staff and patients, and find out how much they benefit from this fabulous annual event.
Back at the auction, auctioneer Ursula Hermacinski gives us an inside look at how she approaches getting into the zone, and we closely watch the bidding on the Staglin lot. We finish out the big evening as Brian insists on Dancing with the Stars (Stacy Keibler).
